The primary component of restorative process training
is a 5-day workshop that provides sufficient opportunity
for all trainees to practice the skills of a facilitator
in a sfae learning environment. Another important aspect
of the 5-day training course is that, by way of skills
practice exercises, it provides delegates with an understanding
of the issues as they affect all potential participants
in the restorative process and enables them to develop
an empathy for those involved in, or affected by, the
harmful behaviour.
However, the training can also be delivered through
a modular approach that can be specifically designed
to meet the client's needs.
The training is provided for a minimum of 8 students
in order that each can obtain maximum benefit from the
course and others' experience, with a maximum of 24.
The training is normally at a location chosen and arranged
by the client.
Restorative processes awareness training and restorative
reprimand, final warning and cautioning training specifically
for those organisations and their staff working in the
context of criminal justice can be arranged for at least
6 students.
